Episode Summary
Jacob Hood gets called in to help solve the myster of a college co-ed who was somehow frozen to death and will not thaw, despite the heat of the California sun.

Hood believes that figuring out what could have caused the freezing will lead them to their killer. However, when another body shows up with the same cause of death, the pressure to find a solution quickly increases.

Hood discovers a chemical reaction that pulls heat out of the victims' bodies, which would undoubtedly be invaluable in organ preservation. Rachel begins researching patents for this process. They find the company that developed the compound and determine that they are actively testing the compound on organs that are donated by terminally ill clients of a cryogenic preservation lab.

Both victims were terminally ill, so it appears as though the company and its employees are somehow connected to the deaths. Once Hood learns how the compound was being administered, he is able to find the murder.

Dr. Jacob Hood: Janet, there's no analysis computer. Is there a T3 connection anywhere in the building?
Janet: Our professor's computer. Or, if you'd like a little privacy I have Wi-Fi in my dorm room!
(Jacob is speechless)
(Rachel blinks)
Dr. Jacob Hood: No, your professor's computer will be fine.
(Janet exhales, looks disappointed.)

Eleventh Hour EpisodesScene/Quotes:
-
Agent Rachel Young: So, you said the ethics of cryogenics is debatable and it's probably crazy to have your head lopped off and preserved for future use. Does that mean you agree with Nash? You think cryonics should be stopped?
Dr. Jacob Hood: Oh, on the contrary. When immortality is outlawed, only outlaws will be immortal.
