Synopsis: When an aggressive and deadly virus infects a demolition site in Pittsburgh, Dr. Hood is called in to contain a potentially lethal outbreak.

Episode Summary
An old friend of Hood's, Cal Rigdon, asks him to come to Philadelphia to help investigate the outbreak of a mysterious infectious disease. Rigdon works for the Pennsylvania Health Department.

After one already dies, another demolition worker begins exhibiting symptoms of a disease which could have extreme world health consequences unless they are able to identify and contain the disease pathogen.

As Hood and Rachel begin their investigation, they learn of the original victim (a mortuary worker who came to work at the demolition site), and thus, the source of the infection. When a local cold storage facility experienced compressor problems, samples of a lethal form of Smallpox were being stored illegally.

Hood and Rachel are eventually able to trace how the repairman's exposure lead to the demolition worker's infection and find the facility where the contamination began. Some workers exhibit similar symptoms so Rachel risks her life in order to stop them from sneaking away from the site, thus spreading the virus. However, Rachel gets exposed and must also be quarantined.

Hood is able to determine who was storing the virus and manages to contain it before the disease spread any further. Rachel survived.
