Synopsis: Dr. Jacob Hood is called upon to investigate a report of multiple cases of food-related paralysis in North California.
Eleventh Hour Pictures

Episode Summary
Jacob Hood and Rachel Young travel to northern California to investigate how nearly an entire family became paralyzed after eating breakfast.

Initially, the teenage daughter is the prime suspect because she is the only one who was able to escape being paralyzed. Hood seems to realize that she's not responsible for their deaths, as he believes that it has something to do with what they ate for breakfast.

Hood finds a giant fungus growing out of the family's dead dog's stomach. He then realizes that the family is suffering consequences of an agricultural fungus that has been genetically modified by a company specializing in agricultural pesticides.

The company had suspended their research on this "new product", a local farmer was able to get his hands on some of the genetically modified pesticide and began using it to improve his crops' yield.

Hood and Rachel must determine who has been using the pesticide as well as what genes were altered in order to help save the dying family.
